First Look at Mr. Waltz’s Zero Theorem hair.. or lack thereof!

by October 29, 2012 About Christoph Waltz

It would seem that 2012 is the year that hair became a very big deal to Mr. Waltz.

The year started with him sporting very long hair and a full beard for his Django Unchained role as Dr. King Schultz.  Waltz had been growing this hair and beard since April 2011 when we met him at the Water for Elephants premiere in NYC and he told us that “In a few months I’ll look like Santa”.

After Django Unchained shooting wrapped, Mr. Waltz was off the radar for several months. When he next appeared at the opening night of the LA Opera’s performance of The Two Foscari, Sept. 15, 2012, he was sporting a trim figure and very short cropped hair.

An intrepid Twitter user, @Lyonsphilip, spotted Waltz today in Hungary having gone completely bald for his role in The Zero Theorem, and it is assumed he will keep the shaved head through the shooting of Reykjavik announced to begin in April 2013.

Waltz does nothing by half when it comes to his craft, and this includes altering his physical appearance drastically, as we can see here! Some actors may have opted to wear a fake bald head, but it is great to see that he truly throws himself into his roles.

Perhaps we should all knit him some nice winter head gear for our holiday project this year!

What do these men have in common: Patrick Stewart, Yul Brenner, Bruce Willis, and Mr. Clean? Bald is Beautiful! I’m just saying….. 😉
