Several sources report that actor Jonah Hill has re-joined the cast for Django Unchained. Hill initially was cast for the role of Scott Harmony, but had to leave the project due to scheduling conflicts. Now he has signed back up for a so far unknown part in the movie.
The actor from L.A. most recently appeared on the big screen in the cinema version of the 80s TV show 21 Jump Street. His performance in Moneyball earned him an Oscar and Golden Globe nomination.

I think that Jonah is taking over the role of Scotty, abandoned by Sasha Baron Cohen. He’s much better fit for the part anyway. I’m glad SBC is out because I dislike him and have never seen him do anything I have ever found remotely amusing, not even in Sweeney Todd

Prior to seeing MONEYBALL, I would have rolled my eyes at this (think I’m just tired of the whole “Aptow” gang). But now I’m much more open to this. Plus, I don’t think it’s possible for QT to miscast someone.

And I liked SBC in HUGO….and I think he’ll be a good Thenardier in the upcoming LES MISERABLES film. But the whole “documentary” style of film making for him is getting tired some.

I think that QT manages to bring out the best in everyone he works with – especially CW! I find Jonah’s voice grating but it will be interesting to see how Tarantino utilizes him.
